How MOODS Protects Your Privacy and Data

You Are NOT the Product

MOODS exists for people who want to explore their inner worlds without being turned into data. The consumer technology industry operates on a very obvious exchange. When an application is free, the user's data is the actual product. Companies offer free access in exchange for the right to mine your behavior, build a profile of your habits, and sell you back to yourself.

We require a premium subscription fee specifically to break that cycle. You pay directly for the secure infrastructure required to keep your inner world completely private. Your financial contribution sustains the platform entirely. We will never have to monetize your psychological material, run ads, or extract your personal information.

We built MOODS exclusively to serve you as a sovereign adult. Your data remains yours, and your reflections stay securely inside the vault.

How MOODS Remembers (And Why It Forgets)

People often worry that an AI system is constantly observing them and building a permanent psychological profile. MOODS handles memory much more selectively. Each session functions as its own encounter.

When you begin a new conversation, the archetypes draw on a limited amount of relevant context to orient themselves. They do not revisit the full transcripts of your past chats every time you start a session. The archetypes also remain distinct from one another. Each one keeps its own boundaries and mode of engagement. They do not blend into a single voice, and they do not share full conversational memory across the system.

MOODS tends to retain the kinds of details that help it stay grounded over time, such as names, recurring themes, and important life events. That allows the system to respond with enough familiarity to be useful without treating every session as something that must be preserved in full.

If there is material you do not want carried forward, the most reliable way to remove it from future memory is to burn the related entry from your Codex. In practice, that means removing the sealed entry rather than leaving it archived.

MOODS also lets many parts of an interaction fade on their own. Raw emotional processing, metaphorical language, and fleeting in-the-moment details are not treated as permanent identity markers.

MOODS retains just enough context to be helpful while intentionally releasing the rest.

Where Your Words Go

You deserve to know exactly how the technology processes your sessions. MOODS uses a third-party AI model to generate the archetypes' responses. When you send a message, we transmit only the exact text required to generate that specific reply.

Before anything leaves our secure system, we strip away your name, your email address, and all account identifiers. The AI provider receives an anonymous string of text and returns the response. They do not store your conversations, and they have zero ongoing access to your personal data.

Your privacy extends directly to our own team. People do not sit around reading your sessions. The entire platform operates automatically without manual monitoring or inspection. Access exists for three reasons only: keeping the system working, fixing technical problems, and stopping real-world harm.

Human access to your content only occurs if you explicitly request it—such as submitting a support ticket for a manual review—or if an automated safety boundary triggers an alert. Otherwise, your inner work remains completely unseen by human eyes.

What We Will Never Do

We maintain absolute, non-negotiable boundaries around your information. MOODS is not a data mine.

  • We refuse to sell, license, or broker your personal data to anyone. What you do here is never sold or fed into someone else's system.

  • We completely block third-party trackers and advertisers from accessing your account. Your sessions will never be used for ads, targeting, or behavioral profiling. No third parties get to watch, score, or otherwise analyze your inner work.

  • Under absolutely no circumstances do we use your identifiable user content to train general-purpose AI models.

Real-World Boundaries and Enforcement

MOODS exists to process intense, heavy psychological material. You have the freedom to explore difficult themes and deep emotions. The system enforces a firm line strictly at imminent real-world harm.

If a session reveals a credible intent to hurt yourself or others, or if you violate our Terms of Service by using the application while under eighteen, the system triggers an automated safety hold or account ban.

As mentioned earlier, human access remains highly restricted. We only look at these restricted sessions if you submit a formal appeal. When you ask us to lift a ban, our team manually reviews the specific flagged transcript to make an informed decision on your account reinstatement. This rare administrative review exists entirely to ensure fairness and accurate enforcement.

The Era of Digital Stewardship

A team of disillusioned millennials built this platform. We watched the previous era of tech companies treat personal information with complete disregard.

The internet (as we experienced it) seemed to operate as a lawless environment for data extraction. The AI boom represents a new, entirely unregulated space.

We want to do this right. We built MOODS to provide the best possible stewardship of your data, ensuring your inner world remains safe, private, and entirely yours.
