How to Use Voice-to-Text in MOODS
MOODS currently operates strictly as a web application. We haven't built a native voice-to-text recording button directly into the chat interface yet. But you can easily bypass this limitation using the tools already built into your phone.
Using Your Native Keyboard Dictation
If you prefer speaking your entries aloud, just tap into the MOODS text field on your mobile device to pull up your standard keyboard. Look for the small microphone icon located at the bottom right corner of your screen. Tapping that icon activates your phone's native dictation software. You simply speak, and your device transcribes your words straight into the prompt box.
The Copy-Paste Hack for Long Sessions
Sometimes you wake up with a massive, winding dream that you need to record immediately and feels way too daunting to type out. For heavy free-association sessions, many users open a different app entirely. You can dictate your thoughts into your phone's default voice notes app or use the voice feature in another general-purpose AI tool. Once you finish brain-dumping the raw material, copy the entire block of text and paste it directly into your MOODS session.
The Value of Typing
We encourage you to experiment with the keyboard. Our beta users consistently reported to us in early testing that physically typing out their entries completely changes the nature of the work.
Writing acts as a deliberate mechanism of friction. It slows your brain down. You grant yourself the time to process your raw emotions before you submit them to the system. Feel free to use the dictation hacks when you need to capture a fast stream of consciousness, but try committing to the keyboard when you want to deliberately sit with your own reflections.
